Five Easy Tips For Writing An Animal Blog

Everyone loves their animals. From fuzzy critters to slimy reptiles, all are appreciated and doted upon by their owners. Some animal lovers go so far as to create blog posts about their pets. If you’re an animal lover, a watcher, or a worshipper, here are five easy tips to get you started on your animal blog.

Tip one: Pictures, pictures pictures!
Have you ever read a news article or a magazine without pictures of what the story or article is talking about? Unless you have a great knack for writing up details, you might want some pictures of your pets. Pictures create a happier, more exciting blog. Visitors to your blog will love your most recent picture of Rover trying to eat the sprinkler. How else can you describe your furry friends?

Tip two: express your love of animals often.
As an animal lover, of course you love animals. Expressing your love on your blog not only enhances that feeling of love, but encourages less enthusiastic readers to get out there and love something! This is your chance to show the world how much you love animals. Go get ’em!
Tip three: write for all readers.

As an animal blogger, you must realize not all people know what you know. Try to write for all readers. Writing about subjects such as “How I take care of my cat” or “What is the ASPCA?” might help new pet owners out a lot. Neglect is one of the leading causes of death in cats and dogs. Blogging about proper care may help many new pet owners understand their responsibilities, but make sure you write with in a way easily understood by all readers, animal lovers or not.

Tip four: Be an interesting blogger!
Think about it: would viewers rather read your blog, or would they be happier with an encyclopedia? Make sure readers not only understand what you say but stay interested as well. Any sort of blog, animal or otherwise, needs to have enough interesting information to keep a reader reading until the end.

Tip five: connect with other animal bloggers.
Animal blogs of the world unite! Get to know your neighbors in the animal blogging world. Sharing tips and ideas are helpful ways to connect all animal lovers. You might try referring and linking to each other in blog posts, sharing cute pictures or videos, or help out an animal shelter or organization by promoting them together. Helping and loving animals is what it’s all about and together, you might make a world of a difference to your animal friends.

For Animal Get Involved By An Orange Or Custom Design T-shirt

Do you just love animals and want to do your part in protecting them? The month of April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month. This is in honor of the signing of the charter of the ASPCA in 1866. Throughout the country buildings and landmarks will be lighting up in the signature color and Going Orange for Animals. Each year, four million cats and dogs are euthanized in shelters across the countrythats about one animal every eight seconds. We can all help by raising awareness; spaying or neutering your pet is single most important thing you can do to help prevent animal cruelty and the unnecessary deaths of healthy cats and dogs.

If you want to get involved, you can just wear an orange t-shirt or you can design a custom t-shirt of your own. There are several site out there you can use to create
custom t-shirts, but the best one I have found is LoveThoseshirts.com. They have several different styles of shirts, many of them in orange. Also, you can customize your own text to say what you really want and they have many animal pictures to choose from. Making your own custom t-shirts, doesnt actually save them of coarse, but it does raise awareness and that is where it starts.

In 2009 the National Spay/Neuter Tour, the ASPCA spayed or neutered more than 31,000 cats and dogs in New York Citys five boroughs alonedramatically decreasing the number of unwanted animals entering New York City shelters. We need more of the same all over the country. We can change things for our furry friends, if enough of us fight for them. I have designed custom t-shirts for the cause and handed them out to local pet shops and shelters hoping to get more people involved. You can help to prevent the deaths or abuse of countless animals too. Just think, if you help to get only one animal spayed or neutered, you are preventing possible future animals that could end up on the streets to fend for them selves. These animals are at high risk for disease, predation, being ran over, or abusive human behavior. One person can make a difference.
